Dr. Samir Abu-Absi, professor emeritus of English at the
University of Toledo, holds a BA in English at the American University of Beirut
and his MA and PhD in linguistics at Indiana University . Especially in English
and Arabic, the application of linguistic principles in the teaching of
language, and the relationship between language and culture - His teaching and
research interests have focused on the study of language structure .
